Happy Birthday, Carson!

Mar 16, 2015

Louis’ bestie turned four last week and he had a party to celebrate.  Guess what?  We were invited!

Apparently Carson wasn’t fond of having to stick to one theme for the party.  So he went with both Octonauts and a jungle-style WildKratz mashup.  Super cute.  And it worked anyway because his parents held the party at the Good Zoo, here in Wheeling.  What a fun idea!

The best part of the location was the fact that the Good Zoo’s education department brings out different animals for the kiddos to see.  This was super neat because it let them learn a thing or two about different creatures and they even got to pet some of them.  Louis withheld from petting the snake…so he is obviously my kiddo, ha.  But he did pet the millipede, chinchilla and armadillo.

Also.  Armadillos are super cute.

I think it’s sweet that Lou has formed a best-friend style friendship with someone already.  Who knows if they’ll still be buddies in ten years.  But for now, it’s great to watch the two of them grow up alongside each other.

I asked Carson if he felt older.  “Yes.”
Really?  That’s great.  Did you get bigger when you turned four too? “Yes!”

Thanks to Brooke and Brian for hosting this little shindig!  We had a great time!

And Happy Birthday, Carson!

That's such a fun idea! I love that they were allowed to pet crazy-different animals.

I wouldn't touch the snake either. I hate snakes. Solid choice, Lou!
