Heads up! Week 12 of Sunday Lately (with the lovely Nicole and Meghan) is here!
This week’s themes: Doing, Appreciating, Designing, Humming, Expecting
Doing. Some sewing for our Easter outfits that I’ve been planning out. So far, I’ve just been able to complete Louis’ shirt but I am currently working on Bennett’s. I don’t know why I’m so intimidated by making a shirt for Bennett. I made Lou’s from start to finish in just a couple of hours total and it really looks pretty darn near perfect. Bennett’s is just a larger version of it, right? I mean. Different fabrics. I’m not having them be twins (even if that would basically make me melt into a giant gooey Momma puddle). That’s just too dorky. So I’m only being slightly dorky by having some of Lou’s fabric as some small details in his Daddy’s shirt. Coordinate, don’t match.
Appreciating. My new found drive for a healthier me. It’s so easy to get caught up in my busy life and let exercise and eating right fall by the wayside. Like really easy. Why does food have to taste so good and exercise have to be so hard?!?! WHYYYYY. I’ve got a new goal for myself #20by30. I turn 30 this year and it’s nice to have a tangible goal set for myself. Even if I don’t hit it, I’ll at least be closer than I was yesterday if I keep at it. Thanks to my Fitbit, it gives me an easily trackable step goal every day to hit. And I’ve been nailing it this week. So yay me!
Designing. Some new crochet patterns that I can share on Nicole’s bloggity-blog while she’s out galavanting at Disney in April. It’s fun to put my hook to some yarn and make something based off of a vague idea like Disney. This is one of the few that I’ll be sharing. So cute. Plus, it really goes with her whole “There’s Nothing a Little Starbucks and Disney Can’t Fix” designs (that I am constantly printing onto shirts from orders via Happily Ever Tees).
Humming. Whatever random pop song Louis gets into my head lately. That turkey. He is still full throttle on shaking his cute little booty to Just Dance videos. And allllll of his favorite songs are [terrible] pop music from the likes of Lady Gaga, Kesha, Katy Perry, etc. Basically all of the music I have avoided having to listen to over the last ten years is now constantly being played in our house thanks to Lou. Sigh.
Expecting. A busy week ahead of us. No worries. We’ve got this shit.
Damn look at you rockin' that step goal! I'll get on a streak of hitting mine and then something happens (the weather gets cold again, I get lazy) and I blow it.
I love that cup holder! So cute. I wish I could sit around and craft all day AND get paid for it. That's the dream. Haha.
