Sunshine. Finally.

Mar 18, 2015

Bennett and I have been trying to be more active (read: stop being Fatty McFatty Pants) and the weather taking a turn for the better has been a big help with that.  We’ve gone on walks pretty much every evening that isn’t raining.  It’s glorious.  I am 99.999999% sure that Louis is good with the extra outdoor time too.  Because almost every walk we’ve gone on, we’ve stopped at whichever playground/park that happens to be closest to us.

We’d stopped by David & Meredith’s house to do a photoshoot of a dress that I made for Annie.  Lucky us, David and the kiddos eagerly joined us for a small walk around the neighborhood and a quick play at the playground.  Louis was in seventh heaven.  He has certainly not lost his undying adoration for his cousins and eats up every second he gets to spend with them.  Louis spent the majority of the time belly laughing at Annie’s antics.  They are both nuts.

I swear that Louis has a special smile that he saves for the playground.  It’s like he’s got such an enormous amount of joy that his smile gets bigger, his steps get a little bouncier and happiness just exudes from him.  It’s contagious.

Thank you, Spring.  The days are getting longer, the evenings aren’t so dark and sun is actually shining down on us.  Finally.

And now, I’m looking forward to watching everything come back to life.  Flowers, trees budding, those obnoxiously loud birds that chirp outside of our windows at home…it’s all coming.  Yay!

I reeeeeeally don't like this stereotypical little boys glasses with the pointy oval sides and super heroes plastered on them. These are my favorite. He always gets compliments on them too. Kiddo rocks them pretty hard. If I had an ounce of his coolness.

He's a nut. Having a child makes me appreciate simple elements of life a lot more. Like bubbles and swingsets and slides. 🙂
