Angelica, Meghan and I are all challenging ourselves to blog every day during the month of May. We are hoping you can join in too! Today’s prompt: How do you define beauty?
There is no way for me to be anything but cliche on an answer for this one.
Beauty isn’t something found on the surface. It’s something that shines from the inside-out. And there is so much depth and so many levels and differences in each individual’s version of beauty that it really can’t be defined. It just is.
Beauty to me is confidence. A person who knows who they are and is proud to show it is something remarkable.
Beauty to me is uniqueness. Someone who breaks the traditional norms of what we see in the media. Someone who is a little weird or different.
Beauty to me is passion. Having passion for helping others, passion for an art, passion for crunching numbers. Or reading. Or architecture. Or sewing. Or super heroes. Or dance. Or fashion. Or anything. If you envelope yourself in something you love just because you love it…and especially if you’re willing to put it out there and show others what makes you tick, it’s simply stunning.
Beauty to me is kindness. Bennett and I have set out to surround ourselves with people who aren’t always out for self promotion. We strive to have friends with giant, beautiful, bleeding hearts that want to save all the puppies and care for all the sick and needy.
What’s beauty mean to you?
I'm right there with you that beauty comes from the inside out. It's inspiring to see someone be that passionate about something and it makes them instantly approachable and interesting.
