I like bright lips and I cannot lie.

May 24, 2015

Angelica, Meghan and I are challenging ourselves to blog every day in May.  Want to play along?  Please do!  Link up with us below.  Today’s prompt: Makeup must haves.

A few years ago, you would have never caught me even wearing lip balm with a slight tint to it.  I always felt like people would be staring at my lips if I had any bit of color on them.  Fast forward to today and I can’t get enough of bright, obnoxious lipstick/stain.  Why?  Not sure.  I just love it.

For the last three days straight, I have been rocking a color that I just bought on a whim.  And here I am sharing it with you.  I’m super proud of my impulse purchase because this one was such a winner.

Wet n Wild’s Balm Stain (in Red-ioactive) is the BombDotCom.

First, it’s Wet n’ Wild.  So super cheap.  I think this was $1.99 (?)…which is remarkable because I’ve paid nearly $20 for a good lip color before.  Well, goodish.  Most times I end up hating the things that I go out on a limb for.  Funny how that works, right?

This balm stain is awesome because it doesn’t dry my lips out, has pretty decent staying power and the color is bold and super fun.

What about you?  Are you a bright & bold color girl or do you shy away and do something a little less out there?

The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.  Purchasing from my links does not alter the pricing in any way for you, it simply helps feed my sewing, creating and blogging habits.  Thank you for your support!

LOVE that! I'm a fan of the Revlon ColorBurst line. They feel great one, the color is wonderful, and it's moisturizing-ish. It is damn near close to $10, so if there's something that will do the job for $2, I'm sold. I've been rocking an orangey color that I got in my Birchbox recently and I'm actually pretty pleased with it.

I never, in a million years, would have guessed how much money and time I would be putting into a lip color. So funny.
