Oh boy. Here come the tears.
We took Louis to his last day of JK3 today. He woke up slowly, like he always does. Had a sweet smile on his face and said ‘good morning’ to Momma and Daddy. Cuddled his stuffed dog, Buster, for a few extra minutes. Ate breakfast while distracted by every single thing ever. And then we took him outside to get a picture, to mark this monumental day for our kiddo.
I know it’s only JK3 (which is junior kindergarten 3…or preschool) but it was the first round of real school enrollment. And now it’s over! How is this possible? It’s just one more obvious sign that my little baby isn’t a little baby anymore.
Louis has had an incredible experience with his school this year. He’s always been a very avid lover of learning and it’s really shined through since he started classes. We ADORE his teachers and are sad that we won’t be directly working with them any longer..but rumor has it that one of them is going to be switching into his classroom next year. That’s awesome, because we love Miss Liz.
I’ll be picking him up soon and then we go back a little later today to watch his Graduation Assembly. I’m super excited to see all of his classmates and Louis up on stage, singing songs and telling us what they loved and learned about this past year of school. I’ll try and hold back the tears. This sad sap of a Momma might not be capable of that though.
Holy potatoes he’s changed a lot in a few short months! Someone tell me how to stop time!!
Happy JK3 Graduation Day, Louisbug! We are crazy proud of you, kiddo!
