Sunday Lately :: Week 20

May 17, 2015

Angelica, Meghan, Nicole and I are all challenging ourselves to blog every day during the month of May.  We are hoping you can join in too!
Today’s themes: Completing, Visiting, Repeating, Applauding, Scheduling.

Completing. A week of chaos.  It shouldn’t have been.  But this was the week that wouldn’t stop.  We were extra busy with things and I feel like anything that could go wrong with shipping schedules and customer complaints happened all in this week.  I have been straight up exhausted for the last six days.  Hopefully I can find a renewed energy and kick next week in the ass.

VisIting. My resolutions that I made for this year, which includes learning self love.  Why is it so hard to build everyone else up around you but so easy to tear yourself down all the time?  I’ve been trying really hard to become healthier and shed some extra fluff and it seems like the scales aren’t changing, no matter how hard I try.  But then I saw myself in the mirror the other day, liked what I saw, and took a bathroom selfie to promote my little bout of self love.  Because sometimes you need to put it out there in the universe.

Repeating. Over and over in my head my disbelief that I have a preschool graduate in my house.  Louis was so excited to do his commencement ceremony on Friday with the rest of his class.  He kept saying over and over, once we got home, “I’m a JK4 student now!”  I’m loving the fact that he sees accomplishment in graduating his first year of school.  I hope he continues to love it throughout the years.  I always loved school.

Applauding. Bennett for being a rockstar and having his first official table at an event for Bennett McKinley Photography.  I’ll be blogging photos from the event in the next few days, I’m sure.  He was invited to put up a table at a local fundraising/fashion event called “Rock the Runway”.  It was an incredible night and I’m glad that I made a last minute decision to join him.  It’s always fun to be in a crowd of people that go to fundraisers like this, and it was really neat to see Bennett get a little photography love throughout the mingling part of the evening.

Scheduling. Some time for myself today to regroup and be able to tackle this week more efficiently.  It must be done.  You should see my studio…it is an epic mess.  Chaos needs to come to an end.  Even if I have to drink all the coffee to make it happen.

Disclosure: As always, you’ll find some affiliate links scattered within my post, which means I receive a small amount of compensation if you end up purchasing something I’ve recommended.  Keep in mind that I link these companies and their products because of their quality and not because of the commission I receive from your purchases. The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.  Purchasing from my links does not alter the pricing in any way for you, it simply helps feed my sewing, creating and blogging habits.  Thank you for your support!

    Hot mama! I love that you're making a conscious effort to practice more self-love. I really hope this week calms down for you! If I can do anything to help, let me know. I'll make an epic coffee run if that's what's required!
