Sunday Lately :: Week 21

May 24, 2015

Angelica, Meghan, Nicole and I are all challenging ourselves to blog every day during the month of May.  We are hoping you can join in too!  Today’s themes: Planning, Loving, Reading, Wishing, Feeling.

Planning. On relaxing as much as possible for the rest of the weekend.  On Saturday, I slept in until NINE THIRTY.  Ahhhhh….so good.  I can’t remember the last time I really slept past 8:00.  It was delightful.  True, it threw off my entire schedule by having breakfast darn near the time that I’d usually eat lunch.  And then lunch at like 3:30.  But it was only one day.  I can handle a crazy schedule one day, right?

Loving. This new bag that I made myself.  I’m the type of person that HAS to act out an idea or I will obsess with it until I do.  I had an idea to make this purse and couldn’t stop thinking about it.  I’m so glad I did.  It’s perfection (kinda).  I mean, some of my top stitching is terrible.  And the fabric I chose to use for the tan parts was a pain in the ass to sew with.  But overall, it’s delightful.  One of my proudest sewing creations to-date.

Reading. Reading?  As in books?  Oh yeah…that’s something I ::should:: be doing but somehow am constantly failing to do.  Damnit.  Try harder, Katy!

Wishing. The weather would just decide if it was going to be warm or not.  We were dying of heat & humidity early in the week and then Louis and I had to bundle up for our walk a could of days later.  What the hell, Mother Nature?  Make a choice!  I don’t like having to switch my choice in clothing so much.  I have enough issues getting dressed every day without having to figure out if it’s going to be warm enough for dresses.

Feeling. ELATED.  This is the second weekend this month that we’ve been able to host my Momma.  I’m loving getting to have her around, in such an easy and casual manner.  And Louis is loving it.  He literally was jumping up and down and squealing when he saw that Nana’s car had pulled up to the house.  It’s incredible that he is able to spend so much time with his grandparents as much as he can.

Disclosure: As always, you’ll find some affiliate links scattered within my post, which means I receive a small amount of compensation if you end up purchasing something I’ve recommended.  Keep in mind that I link these companies and their products because of their quality and not because of the commission I receive from your purchases. The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.  Purchasing from my links does not alter the pricing in any way for you, it simply helps feed my sewing, creating and blogging habits.  Thank you for your support!

    I'm so jealous of sleeping in. There's been a vroom vroom car outside my window every morning and I've been waking up at 5:30.

    And that bag is awesome!

    I swear if Free People was my closet I'd still take 20 minutes to pick out my outfit and cry about it every day because GETTING DRESSED IS HARD. Then sweater Vs. no-sweater enters the picture and it's like… impossible. Meanwhile, that's a lie and Free People should donate each of us a closetful. The end.

    Don't be too jealous. Sleep isn't something I get a lot of. Not because of Louis either. It's all my fault. I have a hard time turning this brain of mine off, and I've never really required a lot of sleep. Although, 5:30 is a little much, neighbors. Keep it down.
