I totally missed out on Sunday Lately last week. It was my birthday and I wasn’t in the mood to hit up the computer for a small chat. Sorry for anyone trying to linkup. BUT, I’m rip roarin’ and ready to go today. Shall we?
Updating. My arsenal of sewing patterns. And trying to figure out which ones I have are “use over and over” kinds and which ones are for special occasions. I am a crazy person and have joined groups that are making capsule style wardrobes for themselves and their kiddos. Which means I need to hone in my all-over-the-place sewing and be able to create an actual functional wardrobe for Louis and me. It’ll be fun! I just need to sit down and actually plan it all out.
Reminding. Myself that summer will be ending very quickly. I was looking at our calendar and can’t believe that Louis will be back in school not too far from now. We’ve got a busy couple of weeks coming up until that happens and we will be trying to squeeze in all of the fun stuff that we can. Now that the weather isn’t calling for rain every. single. day. I think it’ll be easier to enjoy these long, warm days. Hopefully.
Needing. To stop dreaming about my Mom’s sewing machine that she brought over to play with. Hello Dreamboat! :: insert heart eye emoji here :: She has a Bernina that can basically do anything ever, including embroidery. And she’s beautiful. Oh man. It puts my little Brother to shame.
Wearing. A skirt that is CLEARLY not camouflage. Confused? Let me explain. I wore this floral skirt out while we had some dinner and drinks with a few friends and I got teased a bunch that night about it’s pattern. I never once thought it looked like camo, or else I would have never worn it, but the boys were all convinced that it was “urban camo”. So I took to social media to disprove them. Unfortunately, I think we have a hung jury. There are apparently a lot of people out there that don’t understand fashion and patterns. Ha!
Being. Thankful that our city has so much to offer us. Yesterday was full of super fun things and we wanted to end the night with a movie night. It just so happened that the City of Wheeling was showing Big Hero 6 down at the waterfront. It was so much fun! The movie was up on a big screen, the Ohio River was beautiful to see in the background, the weather was great and there was a good crowd there with us. It was a super fun way to end a busy Saturday in the summer.
