I was emailed a few weeks back by a journalist with The State Journal (West Virginia’s statewide newspaper), asking if I wanted to be featured in an article about Handmade Escapade.
Yes! Obviously, yes! I was super excited. And nervous. Because I can be super awkward in interviews (life) but I couldn’t pass up an opportunity like this. It’s really amazing to get some statewide recognition like this, being a small business owner in such a different type of a business than what West Virginia is used to seeing.
I’m blown away by the love that I’ve been getting lately. I might not have mentioned this before, but I was actually asked to be on a talk radio show a few weeks back. I went on, laughed, cried, talked about motherhood and small business ownership. And dream chasing. It’s recorded on my phone but I haven’t brought myself to share it yet because I am literally crying for 25 minutes straight. I wish I were joking. I get really nervous and just start sobbing. I need to work on my public speaking if I’m going to continue being famous. Ha.
Thank you so much Erin, for this lovely feature piece in our beloved newspaper. What a thrill to see my photos in print like this!
