Sunday Lately :: Week 35

Aug 30, 2015

Good morning!  I’m loving that we are getting some new faces and some regulars to this linkup recently!  The more the merrier!  Thanks for sharing what has been happening with you Lately!

This week’s themes: Completing, Visiting, Repeating, Applauding, Scheduling

Completing. A ton of new top for Louis’ Time for School Capsule.  I knocked out five shirts early last week, including this Thor top, and am down to just needing to finish a few more button-downs (flannels!!) to be able to consider it a complete set.  I’m excited to round everything up and photograph it for the final “reveal”.  This challenge has been super fun for me.

Visiting. The famous Alley today with Bennett and Louis.  Bennett has officially decided to end his Meet Me in the Alley series September 30.  He’s been photographing people in this series now for over a year and it’s time to wrap it all up.  I’m excited to see if we can round up a bunch of people in the next month because I’d REALLY like to have an incredible number of participants by the end of all of this.

Repeating. The same crochet techniques in new ways.  I’ve been craving fall hardcore and with that brings a new drive to crochet again.  I started playing with my granny square hearts to turn them into some gloves for me this winter.  I’m loving them so far.

Applauding. Everyone who has a stronger willpower than me.  Because I’ve gone and done it.  I’ve had pumpkin beers.  I’ve had pumpkin coffee.  I’ve gone off the deep end and there is no returning from it.  I’m so sorry.  I understand if you’re embarrassed to be my friend now.

Scheduling. Some time to start working on a plan of attack for the Christmas season.  I know, I am drinking pumpkin stuff and now talking about Christmas…but this is just what happens when you are in a retail world.  I have to think seasons ahead of everyone else.  So ornament orders, bulk supplies and new designs are all on my list of to-dos.

Disclosure: As always, you’ll find some affiliate links scattered within my post, which means I receive a small amount of compensation if you end up purchasing something I’ve recommended.  Keep in mind that I link these companies and their products because of their quality and not because of the commission I receive from your purchases. The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.  Purchasing from my links does not alter the pricing in any way for you, it simply helps feed my sewing, creating and blogging habits.  Thank you for your support!
