Welcome back for another round of Sunday Lately with Megan, Nicole and myself! Can you believe that we only have ten more weeks of SL this year? Wowza! Here we go with the first of the final ten of 2015.
This week’s themes: Dwelling, Helping, Forgetting, Switching, Relying
Dwelling. Upon the fact that October is almost over. Halloween is almost here! Crazy. I will be spending most of today finishing up on Bennett’s and my costumes…since Louis’ has been finished for a while now and he’s worn it for two events already. I’m totally slacking on the parent-costume side of this.
Helping. Myself to some impulse purchases. I was out looking for fall boots for Louis and was drawn into the clearance jewelry rack at Walmart. Four necklaces for $8 total? Um. Yes please. I’m a sucker for statement necklaces and these were great add-ons to what I already have.
Forgetting. Just how busy the fall months really are. Holy crap. Ever since Louis started back up in school, everything I had in rotation during the summer seems to have taken a hit. Our weekends have all been jam packed. My blogging has gone downhill. My ability to plan ahead is all “whomp whomp”. AGH! I’ve talked with a few of my friends about this and they’re all with me on it, so it’s good to know that I’m not the only one overwhelmed these last few months. And it’s going to get worse!! November and December are monsters! Yikes!
Switching. My wardrobe to all comfy, cozy, cold-weather clothes. And I’m loving it. I’ve realized that all of my favorite clothes are all long sleeved or some sort of flannel/cardigan. As much as I love a good skirt or dress in the summer, ripped up skinnies and a graphic shirt layered under a cardigan is kind of my jam. I’m headed to JoAnns today to pick up the last of the fabric for Bennett’s and my costumes…and I’ll probably be hitting up the flannels again. Because I have impulse issues. And because flannel.
Relying. On my new found levels of busy to carry me quickly through the week. Because guess what?!?! We are going to my sister’s house next weekend to meet our new nephew for the first time!! WAHOO! I can’t wait to snuggle him, take a million pictures, and play with that sweet little redheaded niece of mine as well. So excited.
