Today’s Sunday Lately is coming to you from awesome North Carolina! We are spending the week with Bennett’s aunts, uncles, and cousins and are celebrating Thanksgiving at the beach.
This week’s themes: Doing, Appreciating, Designing, Humming, Expecting
Doing. A lot of smiling. We’ve been in North Carolina since Friday and have spent the entire time drinking, eating and laughing. We’ve hit up breweries, seen the coolest craft show and had the greatest tour guide around this insanely developing area. So much fun.
Appreciating. My self-employment status and Louis being young enough that we’ve been able to take this big of a chunk of time off in November. We haven’t always been able to go for a week, most of the time it’s just been a couple of days. So eight days? Hell yeah! Bring it on!
Designing. My Christmas cards. And a few more sneaky designs that I’m hoping I can get going before the end of the week. I brought a crap ton of things to work on while we are galavanting around North Carolina. Because I can never truly leave work. Momma’s gotta feed the family!
Humming. Along to THIS song. It’s Louis’ new dance favorite.
Expecting. To not want to go home. You practically have to drag us away from the Gerkin family. This group of Bennett’s family reminds me a lot of my Mom’s family. Except they don’t have a signature laugh like my Mom and her sisters (and now me and my sister). But being around everyone is just a huge joy. We are truly blessed with a giant, amazing family.
