For who knows what reason, Louis has recently become obsessed with being a mailman and delivering mail to people. It’s incredibly adorable because he does it with full blown enthusiasm. And who are we to stop a kiddo from using his imagination?
…although, he has stolen all of my envelopes and run me through a million pages of paper. Most of his letters have a heart on them, with his signature underneath. Nothing else. I’ve got about ten of those exact letters sitting on my desk next to me. I am not complaining about his love notes at all. It’s insanely adorable.
We have about a bazillion boxes from Christmas laying around, so Bennett took to them and made Louis a new desk. His official mailstation is complete! Louis thinks it’s just about the coolest thing ever. The “I Hate Mondays” sign was a perfect touch from Bennett, haha. I am also a big fan of his built-in pen holder. I don’t even have one of those.
Writing and coloring hasn’t always been something we can get Louis to do easily. For some reason, it’s not in his interest wheelhouse. He has always been more into play pretending and living out loud. Which is fine, we knew he’d come around eventually. And I ADORE that this is how he’s really getting into it.
Although. Maybe he could steal a few less of my supplies. Envelopes, tape, stamp, glue….little thief!
We are lucky to have a kiddo with such an active imagination in our house. It keeps life super fun and exciting. (And he’s lucky to have such a fantastic Daddy that will build him anything his brilliant little brain dreams up.)
