Playing Santa.

Dec 23, 2015

We put out a call to our friends and family to help “adopt” a local family this year for Christmas and everyone went over and above what we ever expected.  Seriously, it’s quite remarkable.

I could cry.  Well, I have cried.  A few times, haha.  I’m overwhelmed by the kindness that can be shown to complete strangers.

Bennett and I believe in helping others any way that we can.  We might not have it all ourselves, but we certainly have more than others…and it’s important for us to reach out a helping hand when we can.  I spoke with a local school counselor and asked if she had a family in mind that might need a little boost this Christmas.  She hooked us up with information related to a local family with six children and she couldn’t stress enough how wonderful the kiddos are.  And smart!  Apparently they love reading and are a delight…they’ve just had a rough year.

I couldn’t think of a more deserving family.  And I couldn’t think of more amazing people we have surrounding us!!  We have seven bags (one for the parents too!) STUFFED full of Christmas cheer.  Toys, games, clothing, books, diapers, etc.  You name it, our people came through.

Last night, we had dinner with the Gilots and they helped us wrap it all up and get the Santa sacks ready to go.  We will be delivering the [super stuffed] bags sometime today to the family (hopefully we can sneak our way around the kiddos so they don’t know what’s coming!)

We are truly blessed to have such amazing, warm, generous people in our friend and family arsenal.  Seriously.

Thank you to Mimi, Judy, Valerie, Bridget, Susan, Vicki, Heather, Shelby, Brooke, Heather, Jon-Erik, and Adam.  THANK YOU.  And Merry Christmas!

The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.  Purchasing from my links does not alter the pricing in any way for you, it simply helps feed my sewing, creating and blogging habits.  Thank you for your support!
