Sunday Lately :: Week 49

Dec 6, 2015

Week 49, you guys.  Holy crap on a stick!
This week’s themes: Updating, Reminding, Needing, Wearing, Being

Updating. Our celebrity status by finding our way onto the news again.  Ha.  McKinleys are such camera hogs!!

WTRF 7 News Sports Weather – Wheeling Steubenville

Reminding. Myself that Christmas is a little over two weeks away and I haven’t really started to tackle my gift list yet.  Whoops.  Someone should probably get on that.  That someone is me.  And she’s being kinda lazy and scatterbrained this year.

Needing. To clean my studio space sooooo badly.  It’s a disaster zone.  I’ve got KatyMade boxes in progress, well over 200 shirts sitting around waiting to be printed on, a new heat press (because I snapped my old one in half) that I have to figure out how to use, some gifts for family/friends partially made, and mostly-cut out fabric for Christmas jammies for the family laying around.  Let’s not talk about how long it’s been since I vacuumed in that room. Di-fricken-saster.

Wearing. My new jacket around.  I feel super boss that I made myself some outerwear.  Just saying.  I also made a jacket for Louis that I need to photograph and talk about…and then start working on Bennett’s.  Poor Bennett.  Why is he always the last one that I take care of when it comes to sewing?

Being. In almost a Christmas spirit.  It’s hard to fully get into it when the weather is still pretty warm.  It just doesn’t “feel” like December.  But no worries, I’ve had Christmas music blasting all day, every day since December 1…so I’m at least trying my hardest.  Have you listened to the “Christmas Party” station on Amazon Radio yet?  Dude.  Run DMC’s Christmas album plays sometimes, alongside *NSync, Mariah Carey, Ludacris, Destiny’s Child and other gems like that.  It’s awesome and horrible at the same time.
