Is anyone else feeling the pressure of Christmas? I mean, it’s less than two weeks away now. Which means 2015 is almost over. And we’ve only got three more Sunday Lately’s until the new round comes along. What the what? It all happened so fast!
This week’s themes: Completing, Visiting, Repeating, Applauding, Scheduling
Completing. Another week of pure, uncut, full blown INSANITY. I’ve been printing shirts and shipping packages more than I’ve ever done before. Thank goodness this was the week I decided to start tracking my FitBit steps again. Because I’ve been on my feet all day, every day and easily hitting my 10,000 step goal without even trying. (also read: I’m whipped.)
Visiting. Some of the amazing places all over Wheeling, all of which are within walking distance to each other. Yesterday had the best weather ever. It’s so weird. But it was in the mid-to-high 60’s all day and people were out in shorts, short sleeved tees and pretending that it was summer. (I stuck to my standard jeans and boots look, of course, haha.) But holy crap! It’s been so warm and weird. I’m worried we aren’t going to get a white Christmas. Sad panda.
Repeating. To myself how lucky I really am. I’ve done something most people only dream of. I quit my job and chased my dreams and am working in a creative field. And each day, my opportunities grow. The latest growth is my new position as a member of the Patterns for Pirates team. I am working behind the scenes on new pattern designs, blog posts, administration on the fan group….the whole nine yards. Sure, my brain isn’t fully wrapping around it right now, because it’s December and I can’t hardly remember to put on deodorant in the morning, but come January we are going to be in the thick of sewing heaven. Not that I’m not already. But again, the holidays. They are taking over my life.
Applauding. My girls (Nicole and Meghan) and myself for sticking with Sunday Lately like we have. Sure, there have been a few slacker weeks…but this has been a great blogging series and it’s a perfect kicking off point for us. We’ve got something fun up our sleeves, in the blogging/social networking world at least, and I can’t wait to see where it takes us. All good things, all good things.
Scheduling. Some more “Momma-Louis dates” for the near future. There is seriously nothing more fun than going out to dinner with Louis. Except maybe shopping with him. We talk, we laugh, we snuggle, we hold hands…it’s the best.
