I am, honest to goodness, blown away with the fact that Christmas is in five days. I did the last wee bit of fabric shopping for some gifts yesterday and, other than needing to whip those up, we are pretty ready for gift giving. Woot!
This week’s themes: Planning, Loving, Reading, Wishing, Feeling
Planning. On taking it easy this week. That’s for damn sure. It’s been completely nutso the last two months and I’ve run myself ragged. I mean, I’ve been actually sick for the last four-ish days. Which blows, but comes with the territory. I’m pretty sure I’ve been sick around/on Christmas every year for the last few years. #getittogetherkaty
Loving. The newest venture that Nicole, Angelica, Meghan and myself are about to embark upon. Dude. I’m stoked. We’ve created a blogging group called the “Blogger Tribe“, where we are trying to create a cohesive space for bloggers (of all genres) to be able to communicate, network, ask questions, share, and support one another. We haven’t officially gotten it going yet, that will be for the new year, but you can at least get in on the ground level with us if you’re interested. And you should totally be interested.
Reading. Blogs again. Whoops. Big whoops. I fell behind and then got so overwhelmed that i couldn’t catch up. So I went on my trusty Bloglovin’ and just hit “Mark All as Read”…so I can start fresh this week. Because I do love reading blogs but I hate feeling pressured by things I’ve fallen behind on.
Wishing. I could go back to the theater again (right now!) and watch The Force Awakens like ten thousand times. There are so many questions I’ve been left with. But the movie was so, so, so damn good. #sorrynotsorry if you’re tired of hearing about Star Wars. It’s not going anywhere.
Feeling. Excited. For Christmas, of course! Having Louis around for the last six Christmases has made the holiday magical again. He talks about Santa all the time, enjoys listening to and singing Christmas music with me, and is genuinely excited about everything surrounding the holiday. I can’t wait to see his face on Christmas morning when he sees what the Jolly Fat Man has brought him. And I love that my Mom gets to experience it with us this year. Can’t wait!
