We had so much fun Christmas tree hunting with the Gilots last year, that we decided to do it again. (And this time we brought along Channel 7 cameras to capture the moment, haha.)
Tate Blanchard from Channel 7 was looking for a family to interview/videotape for a Christmas special. We volunteered but were turned down because we apparently have been on the news enough already. Bahahahaha. But the Gilots stepped up and made for the cutest family on camera ever. Well, we would have been the cutest…so I guess the second cutest. 😉
I am loving this new tradition of ours and am glad that Jon-Erik, Heather and Liliana invited us to join them last year. Louis loves being dragged in the big sled, and cheering on his Daddy as he cuts the tree down. I believe there was even a “timber!” shout as the tree went down.
Feisley’s Farm was hopping the day we went! Which is surprising because it was the last day of November, and you’d think that people wait longer than we do to get a tree. Apparently not. Everyone is in the Christmas spirit early this year!
When the special runs, I’ll be sure to do everything I can to get a copy of it, to share on here. We are in the background of pretty much every shot (camera hogs much, McKinleys??) and Louis directly asked Tate to interview him. So there will at least be a small portion of Louis completely hamming it up for the news and telling them all about Christmas. It’s unfair that my 5-year old is a better interviewee than I am.
Happy December!! I’m in the belly of the beast right now with orders and it’s still warm enough outside to go without a jacket…but I’m slowly coming around to the Christmas spirit. And the Christmas craziness that comes with someone who likes to try and make all of the presents by hand. Wish me luck!
