I’m a Member of the Blogger Tribe!

Jan 5, 2016

I’ve been blogging since the beginning of time, I swear.  We started our blog back in 2007(?) to create a space for our family members to keep up with what we were doing.  Bennett and I had just moved from Morgantown, WV to Traverse City, MI and there were a lot of changes in our lives (and Facebook wasn’t as widely used as it is now by non-college students).

Basically, I jumped in head-first.  Fast forward eight years, and here I am, still plugging away at this blogging thing.  I’ve learned a lot.  I have changed hosts, urls, merged two blogs into one, split them apart again… and it’s all been done by me.  It’s a lot to take in.  And when you are the only person “in real life” that you know that blogs, it’s hard to feel like you are understood by those around you.

It’s incredibly important to feel like you belong somewhere, yes?  Well…Angelica, Nicole, Meghan and I all thought that maybe we could spread our little “inner circle of blog knowledge and advice sharing” into a wider reach.  Out of that idea, Blogger Tribe was born.

As of right now, we are a Facebook group that is growing daily.  (We also plan to ramp up our Instagram site and share featured posts from our Tribe members there weekly.)  We officially launched January 1 and will be actively grooming our baby group into, hopefully, a fabulous network of bloggers.  It’s open to anyone who wants to join…the only rule is that we are keeping it drama free.  Other than that, the floor is yours.  Questions, tour information, general info share…it’s all welcome.

Blogger Tribe is now the official host of the Sunday Lately posts.  So that’s exciting too!!  We also have a thread that is a “Weekly Share Circle” so you can share as many of your blog posts from that week as you’d like.  You know, so we can check out what’s happening with our fellow Tribe members.

If I may speak for the four of us admins, we are INSANELY excited to see where we can take Blogger Tribe.  We are looking forward to meeting new bloggers, learning from each other, and building our extended tribe of awesome friends.

It’s a blog eat blog world. Finding your tribe is important.

I hope you decide to join us!  The more the merrier!  Let’s make 2016 our year!

Disclosure: As always, you’ll find some affiliate links scattered within my post, which means I receive a small amount of compensation if you end up purchasing something I’ve recommended.  Keep in mind that I link these companies and their products because of their quality and not because of the commission I receive from your purchases. The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.  Purchasing from my links does not alter the pricing in any way for you, it simply helps feed my sewing, creating and blogging habits.  Thank you for your support!
