Patterns for Pirates’ first, and one of the most popular, women’s patterns is getting an update and it’s releasing today! The Pumpkin Spice Dolman has a loose fitting dolman sleeve (aka a “batwing”), with a fitted lower sleeve. Nothing changed on that end, we just added more to it! The sizes are now extended up to Plus 3X and then we went ahead an added some more awesome options. Now there are three sleeve lengths and three bottom hems. Woot!
I sewed up a long sleeved, banded bottom top during re-testing. I have several PSD’s in my closet already…one of which I blogged during my Momiform MAKEover tour. I love a good, loose top. Especially during this time of year, when all you basically want is cozy, lounge-style clothes. The added band option is great because it takes the comfort of a loose shirt and pulls it all back to you, to give you a little more shape.
There are actually two cut lengths for the banded option. I made the tunic version of it and it totally acts as a tunic. It covers the bum well, while still retaining the comfort of the original style of the Pumpkin Spice Dolman. I dig. I totally dig.
Is anyone else getting a total WVU vibe from my choice in fabrics? Uh, duh. Let’s goooooooooo Mountaineers!!! When I ordered these two fabrics, I planned on putting them together for some blue and gold action. And I love it!
Both fabrics are from Fabric.com during their Black Friday Sales.
