Slim Fit Raglan by Patterns for Pirates

Jan 12, 2016

Woot!  Patterns for Pirates is releasing a new pattern today.  And you’re going to love it.  Have I steered you wrong yet?  (If I have…don’t tell me.  Let me live in this moment, haha.)

But doesn’t P4P already have a raglan pattern?  Good question.  And the answer is YES!  The original raglan was a looser fit.  It was my first ever shirt I made for myself with Patterns for Pirates HERE and I’ve made it about a million times at this point.  I even helped test the Add-On pack that Judy released for the pattern HERE.

And now I’m here to bring another raglan.  This time, the fit is more on the slimmer side and I adore how it accents my curves without squeezing them.  In fact, it’s a lot like the women’s henley to me…which is my other favorite shirt to sew for myself.

Like all P4P patterns, it’s jam-packed with options.  Tunic length, shirt length, curved hem, banded bottom, several sleeve lengths, elbow patches…the works.  AND (which I failed to photograph any of) the add-on pack totally fits on these shirts.  Best day ever, right?

It was insanely cold and windy when I took these photos the other day.  So much so, that when I got back inside and looked in a mirror….I noticed that my eyes had watered enough and I had makeup all over my face.  Like, mascara had grown legs and just walked all over my face.  GAH!

Luckily I took enough pullback shots that you can’t tell.  Haha.  Good god.

There are some extra exciting things that come along with the newest P4P release.  Judy has been migrating software and is now offering layers and printshop prints.  Fun right?

What a great fit on you! I love the elbow patches. And my love for PDF patterns knows no bounds–a layering option on them only makes it grow deeper!
