Sunday Lately :: Week 61

Feb 28, 2016

Angelica, Meaghan, Nicole, and myself. We e-hang out every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the last week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!

This week’s themes: Planning, Loving, Reading, Wishing, Feeling.

Planning. Out what we are going to be doing this week while on Louis’ spring break from school.  What the what?  How is it spring break already?  In true form of basically any spring break from my childhood, it even made sure to snow on the first day.  Oh Mother Nature, your sense of humor never fails.

Loving. The planning and work that we’ve been doing around Handmade Escapade lately!  We are on the verge of adding a line of handmade candles: BeardWick Candles.  Bennett has been a candle making fool for quite a while now and we found it only natural to add that to the store offerings.  I’m stoked.

Reading. Nothing.  Damnit, why is that always my answer to this one?  I’ve fallen off of the wagon with blog reading too because February has straight up been a b-word.   Don’t worry, it’s nearly March and I’m beginning to catch my stride again.  Maybe.  Hopefully.

Wishing. I had actually read all of the Harry Potter books when they came out, instead of stopping at #4 like I did in college.  Because we binge watched all eight movies over the course of a couple of week with Louis…and I am obsessed with figuring out answers to the plot holes, and details that were obviously left out/glazed over because they probably assume the book readers know.  I feel like I NEEEEED to know some things or it’ll bother me forever.  So now, it’s possible I’ll have something to add to “reading” up there, and it’ll be the HP Series, to end my obsessive disorder.

Feeling. Ready to rock!  I’ve been in a bit of a slump this past month with business and I’m ready to kick it up a notch.  If you haven’t been told yet, Handmade Escapade has a new FACEBOOK GROUP.  I’m trying to have a better reach with my customers, and to be able to interact with them more.  My business page on Facebook is impossible to use for communicating with my people anymore, so I thought this group style atmosphere would work.  So far, there’s been photo sharing and great chatter…and I’m digging where it’s headed.  Woot!

Disclosure: As always, you’ll find some affiliate links scattered within my post, which means I receive a small amount of compensation if you end up purchasing something I’ve recommended.  Keep in mind that I link these companies and their products because of their quality and not because of the commission I receive from your purchases. The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.  Purchasing from my links does not alter the pricing in any way for you, it simply helps feed my sewing, creating and blogging habits.  Thank you for your support!
