Guess what today is?! It’s Patterns for Pirates release day! I’d totally raise the roof if it were still acceptable to do so. Who are we kidding? I’ll raise that roof regardless!
The Sweet Tee (women’s top/dress) and the Sugar Pie (girl’s top/dress) is so quick and easy to stitch up…and is an instant obsession. The tops are both a dolman style tee, so no armscye to mess with. Which makes this a basic tee…yet even better.
I borrowed my sweet niece Annie for photos again. What a deal for her, right? She has to stand and pose for a couple of pictures, and in return she gets some new one-of-a-kind clothes. Where was this arrangement when I was growing up?
I made both our our versions as dresses. Annie got a long sleeve and I took on the short cuffs. But seriously…they are just as quick both ways.
The fit of this top is similar to the women’s henley or the slim fit raglan (both fits that I ADORE) so of course I’m digging this silhouette as well. I’ve found that the most flattering fit for my body type tends to be fitted in the bust and semi-fitted throughout. Which is exactly what the Sweet Tee brings to the table.
If you’re wanting to get your hands on your own copies…I’ve got the hookup.
