This week’s themes: Updating, Remembering, Needing, Wearing, Being.
Updating. My website. And my business cards. And my Etsy site. And my Instagram. And everything else business related. Holy crap…May 1 is basically TOMORROW and I am not ready for everything yet. But guess what? Thread & Grain is happening, people!!
Remembering. How much fun it is to learn new things. I think the brilliant part of Bennett’s and my combo is that we aren’t afraid to try something new. That we might not have any clue about. We read as much as we can and then delve into it…stumbling our way though most things until we find our groove. We might not be the best at anything, but damnit if we aren’t willing to learn and try.
Needing. A way to stop time. One month from now, it’s going to be Louis’ last day of school. Of preschool. He’s going to be a Kindergarten student and will be going five days a week, all day long. My Momma heart cannot handle this realization. I think maybe I can talk to the teachers about holding him back indefinitely…so he stays in Preschool forever. Is that how this works?
Wearing. A smile, along with some new me-made clothes. I bought a whole slew of spring/summer fabrics and haven’t had the chance to really make anything with them yet. I’m itching to sew all the things! But for now, I’ll settle for this pleather sleeved number.
Being. Super excited! I’m now officially the host (and co-host!) of two blog tours coming up in May and June. Angelica and I are bringing another round of Wear to Where? and I just put up the signups for “Sew Americana”, a red/white/blue loving tour of sewing….to hit right before Independence Day. I’m super excited!
PS. Both tours have a couple of slots left. Wear to Where? is needing some style bloggers (SIGNUP FORM HERE) and Sew Americana has a couple of openings for the sewists (SIGNUP FORM HERE).
