My heart breaks a little more each time an AP notification pops up on my phone. I can’t handle another news story about an unthinkable act, fueled by blind hatred. Or ignorance. Or really anything. I just can’t.
Sometimes, the only thing I can ever think to do during hard times is to push positive vibes toward the people around me. And hope that it rubs off, even just the slightest. My friends lists is comprised of people of different color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, social status, profession, and ability. They’re all beautiful, amazing, and deserving of respect and love.
I feel like my biggest responsibility in life is to raise Louis. And with raising him, is creating a new generation of people who aren’t walking around with this heavy burden that past generations have endured. We teach understanding. We teach to think before reacting. We teach him to use words before using actions. We teach him that person is not defined by their outside appearance, but by their character. And we teach him that being different is BEAUTIFUL and worth celebrating.
A few weeks back, I created this shirt design, in response to the Orlando shootings. I meant to get it up in my shop, but never got to it. But today is better than any day to do so!
I am offering this design as a free download in FOUR different formats: SVG, PDF, Silhouette and PNG. Keep in mind that I’m giving these out in good faith. Please do not share the files, claim them as your own, or profit off of my design in any way. They are for PERSONAL USE ONLY.
