Sunday Lately :: Week 82

Jul 24, 2016

Angelica, Meaghan, Nicole, and myself. We e-hang out every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the last week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!
This week’s themes: Doing, Appreciating, Designing, Humming, Expecting.

Doing. Some planning for Louis’ Harry Potter birthday party!  Finally!  I always start with designing his invitation, which helps set the mood for the rest of the decor.  So now that it’s out of the way and being printed, I can get down to some real work.  Yay!

Appreciating. These long summer days, that don’t involve camps or places to be.  It’s been kinda nice to not have a schedule and for Louis to stay up late with us (and then he sleeps in a little bit on top of that each morning).  I know some people like to keep their kids on a strict schedule, but that’s never been our thing.  Summer, especially, is a time to be a little helter skelter…because in just a few short weeks, we will be back into the swing of things with all-day school and we won’t have as much flexibility to be a little irresponsible.

Designing. Christmas ornaments already!  WHAT?  I just had the random urge to do so and acted upon it.  We are going to be focusing mostly on wooden designs this year, but still do have some of the glitter ornaments from last year too.  It’ll be super fun to play around with!

Humming. Fifth Harmony’s “Work from Home”.  And I hate it.  This is all JUDY and MEGAN’s fault!  (Calling you out on here, ladies!, haha.)  It’s this weird, catchy song.  That I can’t quite figure out the meaning of.  I mean…are they really asking their significant others to quit their jobs so they can just be around them more?  How are you going to have money to live if no one has jobs?  Irresponsible thinking, Fifth Harmony.  And OH MY GOD the music video is so weird and hysterical.  You’re welcome for introducing you to this mess if you haven’t seen it before.

Expecting. To apologize a lot this week as I change around my vacation schedule.  I was CONVINCED that we were going on vacation with my husband’s side of the family starting August 1.  Nope.  Not at all.  I’m an entire week early….so…..yeah.  Get it together, Katy.

Disclosure: As always, you’ll find some affiliate links scattered within my post, which means I receive a small amount of compensation if you end up purchasing something I’ve recommended.  Keep in mind that I link these companies and their products because of their quality and not because of the commission I receive from your purchases. The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.  Purchasing from my links does not alter the pricing in any way for you, it simply helps feed my sewing, creating and blogging habits.  Thank you for your support!
