Sunday Lately :: Week 88

Sep 4, 2016

Angelica, Meaghan, Nicole, and myself. We e-hang out every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the last week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!
This week’s themes: Creating, Finding, Switching, Forgetting, Craving.

Creating. My looks for the Project Run & Play contest!!  I was one of the lucky six that get to compete this season and I am SO FREAKING EXCITED.  I went shopping yesterday for fabric for the first two weeks, and hopefully can get to work on at least one of them today.  Fingers crossed Louis is feeling cooperative and we can even photograph it…it would feel so good to have everything done way early.

Finding. That exercise and eating healthy(ier) isn’t as torturous as I’d thought.  Bennett and I put a deadline on getting our health back on track for Lou’s first day of school.  And we haven’t faltered.  Sure, it’s only been two weeks.  BUT, we haven’t skipped a single day of our 2-mile walks or weight-training.  And we’ve been tracking our food daily.  I feel better…I don’t know if I look it yet or not.  But there’s some muscle definition coming back into my legs and arms and I’m not mad.

Switching. Into a new month!  August was insane.  I’ve already felt more in control in the last four days than I had the entirety of last month. Thank god.

Forgetting. The excitement of a 3-day weekend.  Being self-employed, these things aren’t such a big deal anymore.  But now that Louis is in school full time, he’s STOKED that he has three days off.  Kiddo loves school, but he also just really loves being with his Momma and Daddy.  And this little extra day seems to have him extra cheerful.

Craving. Pumpkin.  I’m not sorry, guys.  Once September is here, I’ve given myself the go-ahead to be a typical white girl.  I’ve already had some pumpkin spice syrup pumped into my (usually black) iced coffees at Starbucks.  And I’m not mad at all.  Delicious.

Disclosure: As always, you’ll find some affiliate links scattered within my post, which means I receive a small amount of compensation if you end up purchasing something I’ve recommended.  Keep in mind that I link these companies and their products because of their quality and not because of the commission I receive from your purchases. The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.  Purchasing from my links does not alter the pricing in any way for you, it simply helps feed my sewing, creating and blogging habits.  Thank you for your support!
