The youngest of the Boltze bloodline turned 1 and we couldn’t help but attend the festivities. So Bennett, Louis, Momma and myself all packed into the car and drove up to Michigan for the weekend. So glad we did! Not only was it so much fun, but it was also a treat to see Sierra & Nick’s new house.
They decided to theme his party “Our Little Pumpkin Is Turning 1”. Which was so fun (and appropriate!) because little Lincoln is lucky enough to be born in the BEST MONTH EVER. Fall? Pumpkins? Halloween? Soup season? I mean….come on! What’s not to love?
Though the drive is long, it’s always nice to be in Michigan. The trees are in full autumn up there, so it was gorgeous while we were traveling and visiting. And of course, the best part of being in the Mitten is seeing everyone. These three together were pretty darn cute.
Lincoln is a hefty eater. Seriously. Kiddo can put away more food than I’ve ever witnessed someone his age do. We were pretty hopeful about his cake eating abilities. Luckily, Lincoln lived up to his expectations. He LOVED the cake. So much so that he was taking huge chunks and just rubbing them into his thighs. Haha. Hysterical.
And messy. So, so, so messy.
Lincoln wasn’t super impressed with the gift-opening portion. Delilah did most of his bidding for that. That’s what big sisters are for, right?
One of my favorite things was this group of kiddos, together. My sister had three girlfriends that were her “best friends” growing up. So my single little sister, was actually a group of four little sisters. I haven’t seen those three girls in quite some time but Sierra had them all up for the party. And oh my gosh was it great to see them. AND to see their babies! I can’t believe my “little sisters” are all married and have children. So crazy!
Happy birthday, little buddy! We love you so much, Lincoln! (I guess that you’re okay as well, Nick and Sierra.)
