A Quick Trip to Hogwarts

Jan 11, 2017

I made this outfit and took these pictures of Louis allllll the way back in August.  And I’m kind of mad at myself for not blogging them.  Because they’re too cute to keep to myself, right?  This was a carry-over of Louis’ Harry Potter birthday party and I am so excited about how well Lou rocked his modeling in these.  Get ready for some Harry Potter awesomeness!

When I told the ladies over at Vintage Lace that we were having a Harry Potter themed party for Louis, they delivered in a HUGE way and sent me this fabulous fabric.  I first made a shirt for Lou to wear to his party but I had enough left over that I thought they would make such amazing pj pants for him.

And they so did!!

Since I made these well before Patterns for Pirates put out our joggers patterns, I created my own similar-ish style by using the P4P Pirate Playground Pants as a base.  I just slimmed down the legs and added a cuff.

Someone gifted Louis a Hedwig lookalike owl for his birthday and it provided for the perfect little addition to our photoshoot.

Indoor photos are my biggest photography weakness.  I need to learn how to use a flash more than I do.  And I generally only do a clean edit on photos but I felt like these called for a little something extra.  Did you catch the lightning bolt I edited onto Lou’s forehead in a couple of these?  I couldn’t help myself!  My very own little wizard boy.

This post was a lot more photos than words.  What can I say?  He’s cute and I don’t always need to blabber on!  But I couldn’t leave you without details about everything.  So here you go!
