Sunday Lately :: Week 107

Jan 15, 2017

Sunday Lately is a weekly linkup hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is fearlessly led by Angelica (Gardening in High Heels) and myself. We e-hangout every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the past week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!

This week’s themes: Thinking, Finding, Allowing, Insisting, Repeating.

Thinking. About how proud I am of that super awesome husband of mine.  Bennett had great success with his Meet Me in the Alley project, but we decided to retire it because we were growing tired of spending so much time in the alley.  It was time to move on.  But he’s been missing having something like that on his to-do list, so we’ve started a next-step version with “Meet Me in Your Wheeling”.  You can read more about the project he’s started HERE…and find my interview HERE.

Finding. That “my perfect lipstick” is the longest journey of my life, haha.  Right now, I’m testing out LipSense and seeing what all the hubbub is about that particular line of products.  They say it’s not a lipstain, but it’s long lasting and non-transfering.  I’ve worn it for an entire day so far and have had some issues with it…but I’m giving my lips a couple of days worth of wearing it before I give my full report.  Like most things, your body sometimes needs to adjust to a new product, so I don’t want to kick it to the curb just yet.

Allowing. Myself lots of extra-curricular activities this week.  I plan to head to Pittsburgh to visit with Angelica for bloggy planning!  I’m so excited!  And I’ve got Trivia Night with the girls coming up, as well as a PPC Meeting (Party Planning Committee, thank you Michael Scott) for the Adult Prom that we are putting on in March.  SO MUCH FUN!!

Insisting. That bearded dragons are super cool.  Seriously.  I had no idea how fun it would be to learn about a new creature and have it live in our house, but it’s been really neat.  Louis just loves Lucas.  And we basically crack up laughing every single morning when we discover which weird position he’s been sleeping in that day.

Repeating. “Happy Birthday, Bennett!”  ALL DAY LONG.  Because it’s his birthday and I want to make sure he gets treated like the incredible person he is.  I even promised to be nice for an entire 24-hour period.  I mean, if that’s not a birthday present, I don’t know what is!

Disclosure: As always, you’ll find some affiliate links scattered within my post, which means I receive a small amount of compensation if you end up purchasing something I’ve recommended.  Keep in mind that I link these companies and their products because of their quality and not because of the commission I receive from your purchases. The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.  Purchasing from my links does not alter the pricing in any way for you, it simply helps feed my sewing, creating and blogging habits.  Thank you for your support!
