Sunday Lately :: Week 114

Mar 5, 2017

Sunday Lately is a weekly linkup hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is fearlessly led by Angelica (Gardening in High Heels) and myself. We e-hangout every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the past week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!

This week’s themes: Fangirling, Building, Winning, Organizing, Being.

Fangirling. Over probably too many nerdy things.  I am SO EXCITED for Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2.  Anything that combines the Marvel Universe and Chris Pratt for me is a huge win.  HUGE.  God I love that man!  I’m also super stoked about a lot of Star Wars stuff.  Star Wars Rebels (we dressed like them for Halloween two years ago) just announced a fourth season.  Which is awesome because we were worried how their stories would end otherwise.  I hate unfinished character storylines.  I am also pee-my-pants excited for The Last Jedi coming out in December.  AND that Rogue One will be out at the end of this month so we can watch it a million times over.

Building. An empire.  Just kidding.  But I am building a pretty sweet team of people for Thread & Grain, to help me promo my designs.  These ladies are the bees knees.

Winning. Brownie points from Louis this week, with the shirt we made together.  He picked out the fabrics with me, and the drew the fox for me to print on it.  It turned out so cute and he loved it.  Apparently the internet wants to learn how we did this so easily…so I am considering making a full-blown tutorial that brings it from paper to tee.

Organizing. The final details necessary for WYP Prom next Saturday!!  It’s all coming together so nicely…we just need to drive up the ticket sales this last week.  I am STOKED.

Being. A little nervous about how this week will play out.  Louis is home on spring break from school, but Bennett is still in classes up at WLU.  So it’s going to be another week of Louis trapped in my studio while I’m trying to be productive.  Poor kiddo.  I’m hoping to plan a day out at the trampoline park to at least give him one day of full blown fun!

Disclosure: As always, you’ll find some affiliate links scattered within my post, which means I receive a small amount of compensation if you end up purchasing something I’ve recommended.  Keep in mind that I link these companies and their products because of their quality and not because of the commission I receive from your purchases. The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.  Purchasing from my links does not alter the pricing in any way for you, it simply helps feed my sewing, creating and blogging habits.  Thank you for your support!
