Sunday Lately :: Week 119

Apr 9, 2017

Sunday Lately is a weekly linkup hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is fearlessly led by Angelica (Gardening in High Heels) and myself. We e-hangout every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the past week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!

This week’s themes: Mending, Beginning, Doodling, Musing, Applauding

Mending.  Our little Lou’s immune system.  Holy crap.  He’s down again.  We had him out of school on Monday and Tuesday because of high fevers.  And when we picked him up from school on Friday, he was burning up again and it continued throughout the weekend.  I’m at a loss and feel like the worst Momma ever.  I just want to make him better.  WAAAAAH.

Beginning. To feel the pressure of my Spring Mini Capsule for Louis.  I’m short a couple of pieces and the “end date” is tomorrow.  Crud.  I think I can whip a few things together to create a completed wardrobe…here’s a sneak at what I’ve got so far.  I meant to post an update as I finished things, but I totally sucked at that.  So you can at least see on my Instagram what I’ve been up to!

Doodling. Star Wars outfits for Louis, Delilah and Lincoln.  And then turning those doodles into actual outfits for the kiddos.  We had a photoshoot yesterday with them, you can see all the pictures HERE.  I LOVE how they turned out.  It was a challenge to get three babes to look at the camera and stand in one spot but we made it work.

Musing. Over my next “project”.  Seriously, I’ve spent several months jumping from one big event to the next and I don’t have anything on my horizon right now.  A girl needs her things to obsess over, you know?  I did Dancing With the Stars, and then organized a prom.  So what’s next?

Applauding. Bennett for snagging a couple of pictures of my Momma, my sister and me yesterday.  They were in for a weekend visit and it was so good to get some time with my family.  I hate that we all live close enough to drive to each other, but still far enough that we can’t do it without a lot of effort and planning.  It would be SO NICE to have everyone in my family closer.  But I’ll just have to soak in these visits for now.

Disclosure: As always, you’ll find some affiliate links scattered within my post, which means I receive a small amount of compensation if you end up purchasing something I’ve recommended.  Keep in mind that I link these companies and their products because of their quality and not because of the commission I receive from your purchases. The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.  Purchasing from my links does not alter the pricing in any way for you, it simply helps feed my sewing, creating and blogging habits.  Thank you for your support!
