Sunday Lately is a weekly linkup hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is fearlessly led by Angelica (Gardening in High Heels) and myself. We e-hangout every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the past week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!
This week’s themes: Reading, Fancying, Getting, Doubting, Scheduling
Reading. Blogs again. Slowly but surely, I’m getting back into the swing of things. I know I say this often…but it’s hard to make sure you have a scheduled time to sit back and read everything, but I need to be a better bloggy support of my friends. So I’m getting back up on that horse.
Some of my favorite friends that are new-ish on my sewing blog reading radar are:
Middle River Studio (Molly is so freaking cute and a sewing maniac!)
Stitching and Making (Elisabeth is a doll and her photography alone wins me over.)
It’s Liesel (Liesel is a straight up babe and she is the yin to my yang with sewing…cleaner lines, simpler fabrics, always softer and sweeter than I could ever pull off.)
Fancying. The idea of being crazy bold and going with purple hair for a little while. I have a fabulous stylist friend that I know would make my hair dreams come true. It wouldn’t be forever…just once it’d be fun to have a non-natural hair color in my hair. To fuel my purple passion to the extreme. It could be fun, right?
Getting. In the mood for summer weather like woah. I’m even rocking my first dress of the season today. #summerwithoutpants , perhaps?? Haha. Louis was in Urgent Care (AGAIN, GAH!) with an ear infection on Thursday, so we’ve been trying to keep his lifestyle lowkey until we can build up his immunities again. Instead of taking him to a playground and letting him run around, I just took him outside for some casual yard exploring with the pups. I’m hoping we can get him back to full speed soon. I hate that he’s been sick so much.
Doubting. My parenting skills a lot lately because of Lou’s sicknesses these last three months. It’s hard not to wonder if you’re just doing everything wrong…when you can’t keep that beautiful child of yours healthy. We are scheduling an appointment with our doctor to hopefully get to the bottom of it. I’m hoping he’s just had a run of bad luck and it’s nothing.
Scheduling. Some time with my planner, so we can go over the next few months. Louis is done with school at the end of May, Bennett will be finished with his first semester back mid-May, and then we’ve got summer camps and Bennett’s summer classes to figure out. Not to mention Wheeling’s amazing summer schedule. And maybe making a trip up to Michigan. And finding time to just freaking relax. Let’s do this!
