Lou’s school is having a “Student Appreciation Week” this week…and today happened to be Wacky Wednesday. Given the opportunity, I would never pass up a chance to make something silly and in theme! After a little bit of debating last night, we picked out six fabrics and whipped up this raglan before bedtime.
Pretty wacky, right? (Is it weird that I can tell you where all of those fabrics are from??)
I’ve been going through and hemming Louis’ destroyed, hole-in-the-knee school pants into shorts for the change in season. So it was the perfect time to just chop one leg and give him an extra wacky effect. Then of course, a funky sock was needed too. OF COURSE.
To top it all off, we added blue hair color to half of his head. And then Louis had me cut holes into an old sock of his…to wear it as a glove. Haha. He was most excited about the sock glove. I don’t know why.
I just can’t get enough of this sweet, wacky kiddo of mine. I think I’ll probably keep him around for a while.
PS — in case you were wondering. I used the Jolly Roger Raglan from Patterns for Pirates for this silly top. And we are still totally rocking out on the 50K Fan Celebration, so before April 25 you can snag it (and everything else!) for 30% off! Woot!
