Sunday Lately is a weekly linkup hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is fearlessly led by Angelica (Gardening in High Heels) and myself. We e-hangout every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the past week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!
This week’s themes: Solving, Hanging, Teaching, Remembering, Restoring.
Solving. Our stinky carpet issues with a new one this week! After struggling for years to rid our living room carpet (which is really just a giant rug) we’ve given up and have replaced it. And I’m so happy we did. A new padding, new color, and it gave us a chance to reorganize our living space. All in all, I’m super happy with our decision!
Hanging. Out in the living room a lot. Because it’s the only spot other than our bedroom that has an air conditioner in it. The temperatures and humidity are rising….and we aren’t quite adjusted to them yet. So air conditioner hovering it is!
Teaching. Louis how to sew his own shirt. He KILLED it on his first try. Granted, I was standing over top of him, directing the whole thing. But he selected his own fabrics, cut them, and stitched the pieces together. The only thing I really did was make sure he was driving my machine correctly…and I did help a lot more on the neckband. Those can be tricky for grownups and he’s six. So I figured I could assist there. Otherwise, it’s AMAZING and I’m so proud of him!
Remembering. To celebrate Dads today! Happy Father’s Day to all the daddies out there. We have pretty much the world’s best dad living under our roof and it’s nice that we get to celebrate him a little extra today.
Restoring. (Sorry! Apparently we had this prompt last week.) My love for one-piece suits. Did you see that P4P released a new swimsuit pattern this week? It took a couple extra bourbon drinks to willingly share the images online but it’s all part of my quest to appreciate the body I have, not the body I want.
