Thursday was a new release day for Made for Mermaids….and I’m just a little bit behind on the party. But I still want to share with you about Mama Tara. The pattern is still totally on sale thru Sunday, July 30, so I’m not late. I’m just coming in as a backup reminder!
I totally planned it out like that…………..
One could say that Tara is a top with a twist.
Actually, everyone would say that. Ha. Made for Mermaids is bringing a little bit of funk to your closet with this one. It has a unique twist on one side of the front shirt bodice, that creates a little bit of dimension that you don’t get on a regular tee. When Catherine first posted the tester call, I couldn’t even wrap my head around the twist but it’s SO EASY to make happen. And super cute at that!
Tara has a semi-relaxed fit to her. It’s that sweet spot where you’re not wearing a loose/baggy shirt but you’re not wearing a fitted one either. I love that the twist gives even more room in the tummy area (because that’s of course the spot that I hate having things squeeze me the most.)
My next top is going to be one of the off the shoulder versions that the Mermaids shared in their Tara Hacks blog post. For sure. All of my favorite fabric companies have started to share their fall fabrics and I’m dreaming of a french terry Tara.
