Sunday Lately is a weekly linkup hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is fearlessly led by Angelica (Gardening in High Heels) and myself. We e-hangout every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the past week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!
This week’s themes: Pairing, Acting, Opening, Drinking, Balancing
Pairing. Lots of fabrics together for a ton of strikeoff sewing that I needed to have finished before I leave for SLC. OH MY GOSH SO MUCH WORK. Why do I do this to myself?
Acting. Like a darn fool with Bennett’s cousins and their kids last night. They’ve been visiting since Thursday and it’s just been the best time ever. Last night probably took the cake because of how silly we were being. Bennett was taking song requests and we were just all singing and dancing to the tunes. It was fantastic.
Opening. My suitcase today and packing for my trip. I’m going to Salt Lake City tomorrow!! Because my flight is at the butt crack of dawn (5am) we are looking into staying at a hotel near the airport tomorrow so no one has to drive me. So today is all about scrambling to pack everything I need, and making sure Louis gets all the cuddles in the world.
Drinking. All the beers this weekend. Kerrie and Jason are part of the beer scene in Charlotte, NC and brought us a bunch of local brews to try. We also headed to a newer brewery in nearby Ohio to have some of their deliciousness. (And took them to a brewery here in town that leaves much to be desired….) I’m not complaining for a second.
Balancing. Work with play this week. I’m going to be gone for three days and traveling a good bit of those days as well. So I’m toting along my laptop and hoping to get stuff done in between conference schedules and on the airplane. Hopefully I can accomplish something!
