It’s been swim sewing season around here and I’ve been insanely jealous of all of my friends who’ve been taking these gorgeous images at the beaches and pools near them.  Like super jealous.  Since Vintage Lace sent me a new swim print to sew, I figured it was my turn to take some water photos.

But West Virginia style.

We have a creek that runs through our property and if you hike a half-ish mile up the creek…there’s this sweet little waterfall.  I generally don’t wear a suit while playing in the creek, but it’s still a body of water and I wanted to be a mermaid with all of my friends.  So these pictures were necessary!

Remember this anchor print from the Peg Legs re-release?  It’s all my fault that it exists, really.  When I was planning my big leggings photoshoot with the girls, I’d contacted the Vintage Lace team to see if they had any fabric that had the colors I was after.  And instead of telling me they didn’t, they went ahead and designed this for me.

Spoiled.  I am so spoiled.

I also called Bennett after I snapped these and made him bring Louis and the dogs out so we could play in the waterfall more.  Worth it.  The hot weather was semi-redeemed that day by the cool water from our falls.  I’m not mad.
