Stop the presses.  We have a first grader in our house.  I kind of can’t handle life right now.  Seriously why did I have a baby in August?  Turning a year older AND going back to school guts me every single year.  I’m not sure I can get used to it!

Louis has been super excited about 1st Grade since school ended in the spring.  Something about being in number grades just feels like a big step.  But I think every year feels like a big step, so you’ll probably find me saying this on every first day of school.

He was so cute when he put on his new school shoes too.  Lou was all “I feel like a grownup in these.” ::insert crying emoji here::  Dropoff was such a breeze.  We’d already visited his classroom and dropped his supplies off on Friday.  So he knew the routine, where to hang his bag, where his seat was, etc.  I hardly got a kiss from him before he started playing with his classmates.

Kiddo is growing up.  I’m just happy to have a front row seat to the show.
