When we received the schedule for the Cricut Conference, it said that the first night would involve a cocktail party. SHIT. Cocktail party? I don’t have any cocktail dresses in my closet…because I have this issue of making a dress and only wanting to wear it once, and then giving it away or selling it.
Empty closet. Fabric that I’ve been dying to sew into something. And a short schedule before I had to leave for Salt Lake City. I decided not to go as formal cocktail as I normally would, and went with more summer vibes. I AM OBSESSED.
Crop tops are in right now but I don’t always have the chance to wear them. So I made this my chance. I like it because you get this teeny peek of skin and feel extra flirty, but not actually be showing any skin.
I’ve never had a “quick, let me show you my stomach” body. Ever. But crops I can get behind with some high waisted bottoms.
I jumped at the chance to make myself another Wanderer Skirt. I mean, how can you possibly get sick of a pattern you’ve created yourself? You can’t! It’s a skirt and it’s fun and so fast to make. I’ll probably have a million of these in my closet before I realize it.

What do you think? Was I “cocktail” enough?
