Witchy-Poo V2.

Aug 28, 2017

My Mom is 100% to blame for my love of Halloween.  She brought that love way back when we were kids.  The decorations, the creative costumes, the over the top kitschy element of it…everything is fabulous.  When we were growing up, Momma used to dress up in full character of a witch and visit our classrooms, to create a “witches brew” show for everyone.

It was magic.  My friends still talk about it…and I’m in my 30’s now.
Last year, Witchy-Poo made her way into Louis’ classroom and the kids LOVED it.  So much.  So when RP Custom Fabrics shared this Halloween circle panel for their flash round, I practically begged for it to be sent to me.

My intent was to have my Momma model this.  Because it’s her new costume her time as Witchy-Poo!  I seriously cannot wait to give it to her and see it on her.  She’s going to be so stinking cute.

But since I needed photos, I decided to be a stand-in for her.  Not going to lie, it was super fun to put on a costume.  I even “accidentally” walked through the Halloween section at Pat Catan’s and grabbed myself a cute little witch’s hat and some face decals.  I mean.  Go big or go home, friends.

Isn’t the circle panel just perfection?  It’s so genius of Sara to create these circle panels.  They’re amazing for using on things like the P4P Sweetheart dress, and you aren’t losing any of the print to it being upside down on one side or the other.

This skirt is the largest panel size, which is the 58″ and is perfect for a flirty skirt that still hangs out on the conservative length still.  It’s so easy to cut these panels out, because I seriously just follow the outer circle edge and then cut out the middle piece.  Easy peasy!

My bodice is actually a double layer of fabrics.  I used some purple french terry and layered a spiderweb lace overtop.  It was hard to find a perfect solid for under the spiderwebs, because I didn’t want it to be too bright…but I also needed the webbing to show up.  The purple ended up being clutch, and pairs just right with the skirt.

I just hope that my Momma lets me get some pictures of her in this!  Can’t wait for the Witchy-Poo show this year!  Louis is already looking forward to it.
