Sunday Lately :: Week 142

Sep 17, 2017

Sunday Lately is a weekly linkup hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is fearlessly led by Angelica (Gardening in High Heels) and myself. We e-hangout every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the past week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!

This week’s themes: Gazing, Playing, Pinning, Changing, Joining.

Gazing. Into the eyes of my sweet boys.  They knew I was stressed (all week) on Friday, so they put together an entire meal and took me on a picnic up at Oglebay Park.  It’s officially one of my favorite things to do with those guys.  We sit on a blanket, play iSpy with the surroundings, eat some yummy food, and just talk to each other.  And mayyyybe there are a few cuddles thrown in as well.

Playing. Around with some new ideas for Thread & Grain.  The holidays will be here basically tomorrow, and I’m hoping to amp up the shop with some extra gift-giving items for my customer base.  Wish me luck!

Pinning. Nothing, really.  I’m terrible at Pinterest.  I know it’s one of those social medias that everyone loves…but I’ve just never really loved it like I should.  One day, I will take a social media bootcamp (maybe from my girl Angelica over at GIHH).  It just feels like there is so much to do and not even close enough time to figure out how to make it work.

Changing. To pumpkin flavored things already, without a single fight.  I don’t know why people get so mad that retailers push holidays/seasons before they’re actually here.  Either embrace it, or ignore it until you’re ready yourself.  But for me…I tend to embrace it.  Especially when it comes to the pumpkin flavored syrups that  can be dropped into my iced coffee.  GIVE ME ALL THE PUMPKIN.  I don’t care if I’m a basic bitch.  Just give it to me.

Joining. Back in with Sunday Lately this week.  Obviously.  I kinda fell off the wagon the last two weeks and I do apologize.  I’m a terrible leader!  GAH!  But here I am, getting back on track.  I hope you’ll be joining along with me!

Disclosure: As always, you’ll find some affiliate links scattered within my post, which means I receive a small amount of compensation if you end up purchasing something I’ve recommended.  Keep in mind that I link these companies and their products because of their quality and not because of the commission I receive from your purchases. The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.  Purchasing from my links does not alter the pricing in any way for you, it simply helps feed my sewing, creating and blogging habits.  Thank you for your support!

    I’m the worst at Pinterest these days. And I’m so ready to embrace fall… if only this Tennessee weather would cooperate!
