Sunday Lately :: Week 146

Oct 15, 2017

Sunday Lately is a weekly linkup hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is fearlessly led by Angelica (Gardening in High Heels) and myself. We e-hangout every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the past week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!

This week’s themes: Dismantling, Occupying, Shaking, Desiring, Inhaling.

Dismantling. My sewing space, little by little.  And getting it back into shape.  Or into shape for the first time ever, really.  I’ve got my eye on this new cutting table I found on Amazon.  It’s big, has wheels, and there’s a mat that fits perfectly on it.  I’m having issues with not having enough cutting space and this would really help.  A ton.  I needs it. (Affiliate links on images.)

Occupying. My computer chair a lot this week.  I’ve decided to get out from the shackles of Squarespace finally, and it’s taken me a TON of work to get my blog moved over into WordPress.  Like….I want to cry about how much I’ve had to do.  I feel like they held my blog data hostage and they make it hard to move on purpose, just so you give up and end up staying with them.  Maybe it’s not the case, but damnit that’s how it feels.

Shaking. My head at myself for not realizing sooner that I can print straight onto my Happy Planner pages.  Ever since they came out with the “big” size of the HP, I’ve been in love.  And the way the disc bound pages work, I can simply remove one page at a time and run it through my printer, to add blog info, holidays and birthdays.  I’m beyond excited that I don’t have to create stickers.  It looks so clean and nice and I’m stoked to start actually planning out blog posts (and my life) again.

Desiring. To get myself back in working order.  My house is a mess, I have SO MANY IDEAS, and even more things that need to be sewn and photographed.  If I could just get ahead of myself, it would be excellent.

Inhaling. Alllllllll the pumpkin iced coffees from Starbucks.  Do yourself a favor.  Skip the full PSL.  Get a venti iced coffee, no creamer, 3 pumps of pumpkin spice syrup. And enjoy.  It’s lightly flavored but not overly sweet.  And still a cool drink, since summer is still holding on around here.

Disclosure: As always, you’ll find some affiliate links scattered within my post, which means I receive a small amount of compensation if you end up purchasing something I’ve recommended.  Keep in mind that I link these companies and their products because of their quality and not because of the commission I receive from your purchases. The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.  Purchasing from my links does not alter the pricing in any way for you, it simply helps feed my sewing, creating and blogging habits.  Thank you for your support!

    I’ve been eyeing tables like that, too. We’re finally trying to get me an actual dedicated sewing space, instead of spread between the basement and dining room table. I didn’t know there was a mat that fits it though!
