Sunday Lately :: Week 147

Oct 22, 2017

Sunday Lately is a weekly linkup hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is fearlessly led by Angelica (Gardening in High Heels) and myself. We e-hangout every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the past week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!

This week’s themes: Cherishing, Boasting, Declaring, Journeying, Conspiring.

Cherishing. Any moment I get as a one-on-one with Louis.  Bennett was gone all day yesterday, helping move my Mom.  So it was mostly a day of just the two of us, and it was super nice.  We wrote a book together, cleaned up a bit, talked a lot about school and friends and super heroes and growing up…and just focused on the two of us.  Plus, we basically twinned in our space shirts.  It was a good day.

Boasting. About these new mugs that I’ve added to the shop.  I had some of my designs printed onto these gorgeous 15oz coffee vessels and I’m super stoked that people love them as much as I do!

Declaring. “Vinters” from IKEA to be my formal footwear for fall and winter.  Not kidding for a second.  They aren’t the cutest things, and are super shapeless and dorky.  But damnit, it feels like wearing pillows on your feet.  And for that, I give it an A++++.

Journeying. Into life with alllllll the parents around us.  We just moved my Mom into the apartment on our property.  And we live in the other half of the house with Bennett’s parents.  So basically, we’ve surrounded ourselves with parents and somehow think we can manage this without everyone going crazy.  I mean, I think it’ll be okay.  And at the same time, I’m wondering if they want to start rolling the cameras and creating a reality tv show out of our lives.

Conspiring. With Bennett to become slightly more organized people.  We are creatives, and messy.  But we’ve been trying lately to have some sort of rhyme and reason to our hoards of stuff.  Patterns, fabric, comic books, etc.  They’re all starting to find places in new storage systems.  Maybe in 30 years we will be finished with it all.  #kiddingbutnotreally

Disclosure: As always, you’ll find some affiliate links scattered within my post, which means I receive a small amount of compensation if you end up purchasing something I’ve recommended.  Keep in mind that I link these companies and their products because of their quality and not because of the commission I receive from your purchases. The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.  Purchasing from my links does not alter the pricing in any way for you, it simply helps feed my sewing, creating and blogging habits.  Thank you for your support!
