Sunday Lately :: Week 148

Oct 29, 2017

Sunday Lately is a weekly linkup hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is fearlessly led by Angelica (Gardening in High Heels) and myself. We e-hangout every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the past week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!

This week’s themes: Lounging, Chasing, Peeking, Asking, Tricking.

Lounging. Around the house a little today…but only after I clean up from last night’s pumpkin party, drive out to the store to get the fabric that I forgot during checkout, sew up a costume for Bennett, and then sew up a dance costume for one of my best gal pals.  So, I guess I won’t be lounging today, haha.  At least it’s all kind of fun stuff.  Minus the cleaning, of course.

Chasing. My tail a little bit.  I’ve been doing better with scheduling myself, this blog, Thread & Grain stuff, etc.  But I’m still not even close to being an actual organized person.  I’m trying.  And that’s what counts, right?

Peeking. Ahead to Christmas a little bit.  Don’t kill me.  But I’ve started to brainstorm ideas for DIY for the blog, freebies for here and P4P, and gifts for my family/friends.  I have to get on top of things early just because we get so busy so quickly with orders this time of year.  Hopefully I can get it all under control soon!

Asking. Everyone to bear with me while I continue down the dorky Halloween path.  We went to Louis’ school on Friday for their party, I’ve made alllll the dorky clothes, and then we carved pumpkins last night.  After Bennett’s costume is finished and the actual day of trick or treating comes, I promise you won’t be hearing more about this holiday until next year rolls around.  It’s just so much fun!!

Tricking. My body into thinking it can handle all the fun we had last night.  I feel old as dirt when I wake up after being up late drinking with friends…because my body hurts and I can’t function properly for a good bit.  Getting old sucks, man.

The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.  Purchasing from my links does not alter the pricing in any way for you, it simply helps feed my sewing, creating and blogging habits.  Thank you for your support!

    I feel you on the old as dirt front there. I was disappointed that I got elected to stay home and hand out candy, but when I ran out I was excited because I could take a nap. Naps are my life now 😂

      I’ve always envied people who can nap. They usually make me more of a slug if I take one. Not fair.

        You can’t sleep for more than 20 minutes or it’s a wrap. I used to work in a call center and I learned to take 7 minute naps on my 15 minute break. Now, I can nap at my desk the whole 15 minutes *heaven*

    I am all for peeking ahead to Christmas, but I am NOT on board with the grocery stores playing Christmas tunes on November 1st! I don’t want to see that stuff until Black Friday… LOL Poor Thanksgiving, always getting smooshed between Halloween and Christmas.

      Yeah, I’m not ready for Christmas music yet. The Monday after Thanksgiving is usually when I can get on board with it.
