I’ve been picking my crochet hook back up recently and thought it was about time I shared another coffee cozy pattern. The wreath is so easy to make, and so cute to add to your crocheted pieces! (Pssst…if you’re someone who would rather buy a finished item than try and work a hook, I have them for sale in my shop HERE.) I hope you love it like I do!
**As always, you’re more than welcome to sell finished products from this pattern. I only ask that you give me credit and link back to this pattern. Please play nice and don’t claim the pattern or photos as your own. If you do end up making something from my pattern, I’d love to see the results! Link me to your blog, email me a photo (katy@threadandgrain.com) or share it in my Facebook Group. I want to see what you can do!!
Christmas Wreath Coffee Cozy Crochet Pattern
Materials:
– Red, White and Green Worsted Weight Yarn (my favorite is Caron Simply Soft)
– Crochet hook size H-8 (5.0 mm)
– Tapestry needle
– Fabric glue (my favorite is FabriTac)
Abbreviations:
ch – chain
st – stitch
sl st- slip stitch
SC – Single Crochet
HDC – Half Double
Main Cozy Pattern:
**Ch 1 at beginning of each round counts as first HDC.
Round 1: (using red yarn) Ch 30, sl st closed.
Round 2: Ch 1, HDC 29 around, join.
Round 3: (using white yarn) Ch 1, HDC 29 around, join.
Round 4 – 10: (alternate between red and white) Ch 1, HDC 29 around, join.
Round 11: (using red yarn) Ch 1, Sc around, join. Fasten off, weave in ends.
Christmas Wreath Applique
Step 1: Ch 10.
Step 2: Join Chains with Sl St to form Circle.
Step 3: Ch 10.
Step 4: Slip stitch into circle to form “branch”.
Step 5: Repeat Step 4 for a total of 20 “branches”. Tie off and sew in ends.
Step 6: Take red yarn and form a small bow.
Step 7: Using a small dab of glue, attach the bow to the top middle of the wreath.
Step 8: Attach the wreath to the main cozy. I like to glue it (because lazy) but stitching it on works too! And you’re done!
Please, if you have any questions — don’t hesitate to ask! I would love to help in any way that I can!
