Sunday Lately :: Week 155

Dec 17, 2017

Sunday Lately is a weekly linkup hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is fearlessly led by Angelica (Gardening in High Heels) and myself. We e-hangout every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the past week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!

This week’s themes: Stitching, Cutting, Dodging, Embellishing, Approaching.

Stitching. Up some holiday clothes for Louis and me.  And eventually Bennett will get one too.  I have all of this gorgeous Christmas-style fabric and only one week left to wear it.  I’d better get the move on!

Cutting. It close with a pattern I’d like to have out in early January.  I finally digitized a hat that I used to make and sell.  And now I just need to write the tutorial and take a million step-by-step photos so I can put it out there into the universe.  I’m hoping people like it!  For sure it is a labor of love to get it into pattern form.

Dodging. Work. Rather, wishing I were dodging work.  I still have Christmas gifts for my nieces and nephews that I need to start/finish and get out the door so it makes it in time for Christmas.  I had great intentions this year, like I do every year, and somehow still am totally working up until last minute.  BAH.

Embellishing. Some gifts for my girls today.  We are having a “Favorite Things” Christmas party, where we all bring 8 of 1 item and pass them out to everyone there.  We will all walk home with 8 new things that are each other’s favorites.  I’m super excited to see what they’re all bringing!  This is going to be super fun!

Approaching. Christmas and 2018 rapidly.  I recently made a decision about my career that did not come lightly.  So now I need to prove to myself that I made the right one.  I need to set new goals, and smash every single one of those goals.  I’m coming for you 2018!

Disclosure: As always, you’ll find some affiliate links scattered within my post, which means I receive a small amount of compensation if you end up purchasing something I’ve recommended.  Keep in mind that I link these companies and their products because of their quality and not because of the commission I receive from your purchases. The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.  Purchasing from my links does not alter the pricing in any way for you, it simply helps feed my sewing, creating and blogging habits.  Thank you for your support!

    I love the dress and can’t wait to see the hat! I’m confident that you CAN absolutely smash all of the goals you set for yourself. You are amazing, capable, driven and have an incredible gift. I love the idea of a “favorite things” party for the girlfriends, too! How fun! Enjoy it and happy Holidays!
