Sunday Lately :: Week 157

Dec 31, 2017

Sunday Lately is a weekly linkup hosted by the Blogger Tribe, which is fearlessly led by Angelica (Gardening in High Heels) and myself. We e-hangout every Sunday, sharing a small glimpse into the past week of life in our own worlds. We’d love if you could join us!

This week’s themes: Advocating, Lauding, Challenging, Beautifying, Finalizing.

Advocating. For more time outside while the snow is still on the ground.  We haven’t had a white Christmas or a “real” winter in so long…I feel like Louis really misses out on the fun of playing in the snow.  Yesterday, we were able to head outdoors in our snow gear and get some playtime in.  He loved it.  So did we.

Lauding. Everyone on their “Best 9” post on Instagram.  It’s fun to see what were the favorites from 2017.  I’m a sucker for recap posts (which reminds me that I need to do one for myself.)

Challenging. Myself with a crazy schedule until the end of March.  I think I’ve already mentioned it before, but I’m going to be back in an office in a semi-full time way, to help with a transition.  It’s three months full of me being out of the house a lot more than I’ve been in the last three years…which means I have to be incredibly organized and on top of things.  I’m hoping I survive.

Beautifying. My wardrobe with one last make of 2017.  The print is a WAY larger scale than it should be (my fault for not checking before I sent it to the printers), but I still like the colors and the sewing theme.  And that I designed it…that always makes me like prints more, haha.  Scissor boobs and everything, it’s still a shirt worth keeping in my closet.

Finalizing. Some plans for early 2017.  I’ve got Feature Fridays figured out through the end of March, and am starting to work on a solid-ish blog schedule.  Hopefully I can keep up with it!

Disclosure: As always, you’ll find some affiliate links scattered within my post, which means I receive a small amount of compensation if you end up purchasing something I’ve recommended.  Keep in mind that I link these companies and their products because of their quality and not because of the commission I receive from your purchases. The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.  Purchasing from my links does not alter the pricing in any way for you, it simply helps feed my sewing, creating and blogging habits.  Thank you for your support!

    I should probably do a recap post too. But I’d prefer to sew today so not sure if a recap will happen! I would love to be as organized as you! For now it is all in my head as rough goals :p

      Sewing over blogging would always be my pick. 🙂

      Haha, I don’ tknow. But I remember always wanting to eat icicles too. It’s probably just a sensory overload and a fun new experience. 🙂

    I love how bold that shirt print is! Nothing beats vibrant colors!

      I was worried it was too bold, since the trend is so heavily floral right now. But I went for it anyway. 🙂 Thank you!

    I love that shirt! However in my teacher mind sometimes fabrics remind me of books. The book Chicka-Chicka Boom Boom came to mind the second I saw it. I think that’s because of how vibrant the colors are.

      That’s a book that always gets referenced but I’ve never read it. Now I will have to with Lou!
