The title of this post should really be “I’m super weird but my friends put up with me”.
There is a Golden Girls fabric that’s been floating around the sewing world and I’ve seen tons of people making leggings from them. And forever ago, I made a joke that I was going make a similar fabric, but the heads were going to be of my sewing besties (who also happen to be the Patterns for Pirates and Made for Mermaids team). I reeeeeeally wanted to have the fabric in-hand and have this set made as my Christmas jammies, but the fabric got held up and it didn’t make it in time. So these became my post-Christmas jammies. Same thing, right?
I’ve been very much enjoying having a custom printer on-deck to fulfill some of my fabric dreams. I’ve been using them for my custom fabric work for Thread & Grain, and now I’ve been abusing my power and having them print random stuff for me. I can’t help it. It’s too much fun to design something and have it put on a fabric, that you can then turn around and make into clothing. I mean….really. How could my little sewing and graphic design loving heart resist?
Megan G, Megan T, Catherine, Nicole and Judy are seriously such wonderful women to work with. They’re smart, funny, gorgeous, hard working, creative, snarky, supportive, and fabulous friends. I’m a lucky gal for getting to be part of it all.
And they’re lucky gals because I sent them all their own yardage of this ridiculousness! I will DIE if they ever sew something from this fabric. I don’t think anyone is quite as weird as me to actually go through with it.
